A heated opinion is not stating that something is serious (since it was implied to be a question of whether or not Sean was serious) as much as it is a simple request to be respectful to other players (in lieu of doubting their dedication to their religion practices because they allegedly 'troll'). As far as things staying on topic, this is WoHP. Nothing stays on topic. No hard feelings, I'm sorry for the miscommunication. There's just no need to derail an entire subject because a player is taking a break to practice Lent. We're a vice lol? We totally are! WoHP is like drinking liquor. It's super addictive! And when you roleplay with Slytherins it's always wicked and usually immoral.

You make assumptions that we know every little detail about a person's life. Also being a constant troll is something similar to the "Boy Who Cried Wolf." You eventually grow to question or ignore everything a troll says. That being said.

At the risk of sounding entirely confused: What? I must have missed the post I made where I assumed anything, and the post where I said we can post whatever we want where ever we want. I think you're reading absolutely everything I'm saying entirely wrong. "That being said," enough. This is silly.

I always liked the idea of giving up something for Lent, and I always admire people who do it... I just don't have enough discipline!
I always like to think I'd give up sugar.
Can it be the thought that counts during Lent?
(And regarding the whole previous discussion, I was thrown off by what I (in my own limitations) perceived as a rather flippant sounding "I'm giving up HP for Lent, bye!" It just didn't sound serious. Awesome if it was! I just would have expected another sentence or two if it was a serious religious commitment someone was making... but that's just me! KUDOS to anyone who embraces and practices a genuine spiritual experience, I SO admire that, in all seriousness, and I am so impressed with someone who can give something up for Lent. So we will see you when you get back!)
Okay, even if it wasn't Lent... if you decided to give something up for 40 days, in a personal quest of self improvement... what would it be? Mine would be sugar. *pops another Everlasting Gobstopper in her mouth*

Thank you, Jennie! I totally agree. I think mine would be Netflix. So many wasted hours that could have been so productive! But, well...*clicks Ruby Gloom* As a side note: I'll probably be around a lot less for the next two-three weeks. I'll still skulk around the forums! If you need something with Dru, totally feel free to forum pm me for forum RP.

Alright everyone, if you want to learn about Lent, there is plenty of info on the web, and you may always start another thread asking about it in the Misc section. Let's keep this thread on topic.

I won't be on much at night right now, the electricity got cut off earlier because of personal issues going on at the moment.
