Alright, so this game has made a liar out of me. I installed it, updated it, and installed the CEP, but every time I attempt to login to the server it says I'm still missing the "custome talk table cepv.3.-blah blah blah." Anyone know what the problem is?
Also, I'm already running on XP compatibility mode and I always run it as an administrator, if that makes a difference. Although I doubt it does; I was just putting that out there just in case.

Sometimes when I'm copying to folders that need admin permission(program files especially) files don't always copy over, even if I click yes to the prompt. My suggestion is to reinstall CEP(do a copy-paste installation so that you don't have to re-download if it doesn't work) and check to make sure that all files are copying over. Also, make sure that you're downloading the latest version(3.4?), not using the update program. Using the update program will break your CEP.  Make sure that all the nwn .exes(there's one for the launcher, and others for the PC and DM clients) have admin privileges as well, and not just the launcher. Doesn't hurt to switch them all to XP mode either. That's likely not the problem as it does sound like a CEP error, rather than Windows throwing a fit because the game is more than a few years old, but again, doesn't hurt.

Well. I'm redownloading CEP, but I checked the folders and the file it claims is missing is totally there. It's just not finding it.. or something. I don't know.

I don't know if this is what's happening to you or not, but I do know that this error occurs if the files are actually still unzipping. Sometimes the program isn't clear that it's not actually complete yet, and people start NWN and it doesn't work. This causes a side effect of also possibly corrupting some of the files. Again I don't know if this is what's happening to you or not.

I thought that might have been the issue, too. But! It was not. Hahah. I figured it out. I just wasn't considering everything. I got it all settled and logged on earlier. I appreciate you guys' help, though. Really. =]

Sorry for not coming back, yet.
My screen is still in half, and it's $200 dollars to repair. I'll have that money in 16 days, but I think I'll help my mom with her bills. In 16 days I'll also be legally allowed to work a real job (finally, thank God).
I could re-install NWN, but school starts and I'm in a bunch of Advanced Placement courses so not sure if I can handle the distraction. (Hard-drive, Memory, and keyboard were all replaced on warranty. LCD screen wasn't covered.)
I'll wrap up with "I'm on Skype" if you want to pester me (wink face) and you can get that name from Squeaky, Peran, or Rashtin. Aaaand I promise I'll be on our lovely game again as soon as I replace my screen.

So my dad lost his job so I am picking up a 2nd job as well as school... And probably going to be dong odd jobs as much as possible so play time will be lower then expected sorry...

Hey everyone, I used to play here as Rakashak, and my characters were Nathan Rhomas and Syrra Heskarma. Unfortunately my accounts are bugged (but it's probably best I retire them anyway due to IC reasons) but I am now back! My new character is called Luco Creighton, so holla at me if you see me in game!
