Unannounced absence due to this. Back now, hopefully. *knocks on wood, and major thanks to BGE for being awesome and fixing the power, even though 2 hours ago my area was still an orange dot(second worst classification out of six for power outages) on their website*

It's not too common of an attitude around where I live, but if you head to the western, more rural parts of the state gun culture is pretty big. Same when you head south into Virginia, from what I've seen. Around where I live, I'm not saying that it would be uncommon for people to keep guns as emergency supplies, but you wouldn't tell your neighbors about it or else they'd think you were a redneck nutcase from aforementioned regions.

I think our police does, at least some of them, but they're basically required to go to psychologists for months if they even take it out.
