Sucks not being on for a couple of months, feels like it's been longer though. But anyway, when my mother and brother came down last time, I had my brother bring down his laptop cause he still has the game on his, so I was gonna get back on HP for a bit to chill and see how everyone was doing, but for some odd reason, I couldn't find the server listed anywhere under RP, so they're coming back down today and I let him know to bring his laptop back down so I can try to find it again, and I was hoping someone could help me out. Also, just remember, even though I'm hardly able to get on much right now, my 3 characters, Wesley, Drake, and Dominic are still around, so when I am able to get back on, try not to be in shock to see me and ask where I've been all this time. So anyway, i'll try to see you all later, I just need help finding the server.

We weren't in the server listings for a while, but we were always available via direct connect. I always used direct connect anyway, so I never even noticed. But we should be back in the list now, if you must do it that way, even though it takes longer.

Well I can also do direct connect, but wouldn't that mean that I would still need to click on the server and go down to where it says direct connect on the bottom? Unless you're saying there's another way that is. And another thing is my brother just mentioned that on their way down here, they started having trouble with the car so they're not sure if they can make it or not. So I guess we can still figure this out while I'm waiting on an answer.

So I'm not necessarily leaving. As most of you saw, I have been quite active at nights that I don't have anything to do. My college schedule has been getting crazy but I expect that to change mid-December. I'll be done with college 'til the end of January But until then, I'll try and squeeze in any time I do have when I'm not studying for a final or working into RolePlay. I totally miss everything! But yeah this isn't a goodbye or welcome back post. Just a warning that my time will be scarce for about 12 more days.

I'm having computer trouble on my desktop PC. While my laptop will run nwn, due to a graphics card issue half the textures in the mod show as blank white, and some areas have weird polygons, stuttering and flickering. While I can be on the server, it's hard to RP, and DMing is right out.

I'm looking into options to get my desktop PC in working order, but it might be faster at this point just to go ahead with my plans to build the new one and sort this one out later...we'll see. But there'll be much less of me IC, and probably less OOC as well, in the near future.

I'm getting my first computer!!! <3 I'm paying for most of it since I've been saving up for years now, but it's so worth it! After 15 years of sharing a dinosaur computer with two other teenagers I'm ready for this. Come Christmas, I'll possible have nwn installed on it, though I'll be unable to use the precious thing till January since I'll be in Canada..Or maybe late in January since I have over five major projects to complete currently at school. *Over achiever*

Buy a laptop. Portable and still runs NWN smoothly. ( If you get a modern one and not one of those ancient ones)

Laptops have their own sets of issues, one of which is that what you buy is what you're stuck with. Anyone can swap out a video card or add RAM as your computer obsoletes(unless you wait too long to do it and your hardware is too ancient to accept modern stuff, lol) but if you have a laptop you're out of luck. I had my sound card die on my first laptop, and (according to my father at least) there was no easy way to fix it because everything was so tightly packed inside. I had to deal with there being no sound whatsoever for about...oh, two years, until I'd saved enough to purchase a desktop PC. So yeah, laptops are nice if you think you'll be doing work at school with them, but I wouldn't buy one for a main home computer. They're also going to be more expensive for the same specifications.


I think I'm pretty much back. Still poking out a few issues, but I have textures IG again. Yay.

I plan to be back IG tonight! My time will be sporadic at best, probably not nightly anymore until my life is less chaotic and I've managed to get a three pronged plug adapter to fit into the ancient two prong plugin's we've got in our 'new' 100 year old house. I've missed you all! Can't wait to chat with my online friends again. <3 Right now I'm on my way down into the basement to play a fun game called "Kill the spiders" with an old broom. RT should join me since I know how much she loves spiders! There's a toilet down there she can drop her phone into as well.
