Was it trying to deliver an important letter to you?

(Expect more owls if the first one didn't accomplish its mission......) :)

I'm so proud of this thread. ;)

I've figured out why I'm not growing any taller!! (Or at least I've come up with an excuse.) My ADHD medication (Also known as the Zombie Pill) stunts growth!! :X

Being A Short Person:
CONS
1) You can't reach things in the grocery store.
2) You can't touch the ceiling.
3) You look like a dwarf/midget when you're surrounded by your friends.
4) It's embarrassing to stand next to a boy who is over a foot taller than you!
5) It's embarrassing when strangers have to come help you grab something off a shelf!
6) People always pull the "Shortest kid goes first" in games while smiling evil-y at you!!
7) Though he's cute, I'm NOT going to date a 6'4" ginger when I'm 5'2"!!
PROS
1) All the boys are taller than you.
2) People think you're cute.
3) You can fit into small places.
4) It's easy to dodge flying objects.
5) You never hit your head.
---------------
Got anymore?
ADD ON, GUYS!! THE CONS ARE WINNING!!

I'm constantly having to lean over things I'm soldering/repairing/etc at work. Gets to your neck/back after a while.
Same thing when I used to mow my parents lawn. I always wanted a way to extend the mower handle a little so I didn't have to hunch over and I'm only 6'1".

PROS:
6. Shorter height = smaller shoes = cuter shoes. Pro averted if you just wear raggedy old converse like I do, but hey. :p
7. It's easier to find clothes in stores that fit short women(yay for the petite department) than tall women(the mythical size 10T jeans...).
8. It's easy for short people to grab a step stool to get things from the top shelf. But making up the extra distance from their hands/eyes to the bottom shelf and then crouching down all storky-awkward is harder for tall people. I work at a library, this is a fact. We got a new branch manager earlier this year, who is tall(as opposed to the old one, who was shorter than me), and a few months after she got here we embarked on a mission to reorganize all the shelves in nonfiction so that we weren't shelving on the bottom shelf. Don't tell me that's coincidence.

And really, when you said you were short I thought you were talking about like 4'10" or something. 5'2" is on the lower range of average for women, not to mention you might still have a couple inches left in you(everybody said I did when I was your age and 5'3", turns out I didn't, but hey it's been known to happen!).

:) Yendys, my mother is 4'11" and I'm 5'2"...My dad is 6'3" and I haven't met anyone shorter than me (unless they are 10 years old and under). The doctor says I don't have any hope for growing taller since I've already had my growth spurt. ^^ He was excited, though, when I grew half an inch in a year.

I had my first real garage sale today! It was mostly a success... I did have a woman barter me way too far down on my antique mason jar collection, and a guy showed up half an hour later asking to see them and I informed him they sold. So he got all depressed and asked me what colors they were... he then proceeded to tell me, that one jar I had which was a light purple with original lead lid, probably was worth $80 sold alone. And I sold all of them for $10. *Sadface* I'm such a lousy salesperson.

At least you sold them! A lot of people end up with hardly anything being sold at a garage sale.

Well here, if you do a garage sale usually a bunch of very poor people come and try to buy things, but they can never meet the prices so you feel bad and give it to them anyways. D:

Today, I realized that someone I was angry/jealous at is a really sweet girl (or at least she looks like one)! I felt guilty and wanted to say something to her, but she doesn't even know who I am or that I was angry at her so I won't.

Calan and Serilface were making fun of my roguelike dungeon crawlers. This is not acceptable. I provide proof that nethack is indeed a game, and a fun one at that! "Telnet nethack.alt.org" ftw.
Uncropped because I still haven't reinstalled gimp.
