Granted... but you can only shape shift for five minutes a day. The rest of the day, you're a shapeless blob. Have fun with that!
I wish there was more chocolate in the house!

Granted. You die. Joseph Stalin wrote: Death is the solution to all problems. No man - no problem. I wish there was another cold war, with everyone getting all paranoid but neither side ever actually attacks.

Granted. However, like in the "first" Cold War, one of the two major players supports a smaller nation in one of the many skirmishes that happen. However, the smaller nation has a mentally unstable dictator, and when backed with nuclear weapons the paranoia becomes to much, leading to an actual nuclear war in the end. So much for the "mutually assured destruction" theory.
I wish things would work out for me, at least once.

Granted. Everyone around you now suffers, but everything seems to mysteriously go your way!
I wish nicotine were easily injectable.

Granted, but now you realise you have no idea how to swim, and there's no shallow end. You drown.
I wish for a real wish.

Granted, but when you make it the Djinni takes advantage of some loop-hole you missed. You die.

Granted. You now have to clear it.... every hour!I wish skills could be obtained simply by, well, wishing for them...rather than having to work day in and day out to master something.
