I'm back! In desperate need of a shower, and with a heavily depleted alcohol stash but... I live!

Heyo! I'm home. I move into the school dorms in two days, but I'm home.

I am sans functional desktop for the foreseeable future. The internet is fine on my laptop, but NWN will not run on it for now. I'm working on a solution, but without money I'm reliant on some pretty slim chances right now...

Feargus: A cheap laptop that goes for around 400-500 CAD can probably very smoothly run NWN. I run it on this craptop that I've owned since two years ago. So unless you run high-end games like Oblivion/TF2/Etc as well as NWN, you may want to consider a slightly upgraded cheaper laptop. NWN is not very demanding, surprisingly.

Kinda sorta back? Idk... just got home from vacation and seeing how I feel. You may start to see me around more often, and you may not. Though I will definitely be back when we start the 'year group.'

Percy, if I had 200 US dollars to spare, I could probably swing a very nice used PC from one of my many computer-savvy friends. I just don't have it right now...I've become a voluntary pauper for the sake of education! I will be doing what I can though, and thanks for the suggestion. NWN isn't very demanding, but it is -very- particular about equipment. Especially graphics cards, I've had a couple that were plenty powerful enough, but not supported and therefore didn't fly. Word to the wise!!

My time will be considerably cut short on NWN. School has started, and this year it means everything. So, see you all around some day.

This is both an "I'm Back!" and an "I'm gone for a couple days" post! First, the good news! I got NWN installed on my MacBook and got HP to run just fine, or so it seems for now. I'll give a rundown of what I did, just in case someone else runs into the same issue. If you run an early MacBook or Mac Mini with the Intel chipset and integrated Intel graphics, Mac OS X does -not- access the full potential of your graphics processor (not that the "full potential of an Intel GMA 950 is anything to whoop and holler about ). I installed Windows XP Pro on my MacBook via Boot Camp and installed the Intel Windows drivers for the integrated graphics. Beyond the fact that this boosts the Vram to 224meg vs OS X's cap of 64meg, Windows has been running with this graphics processor for a lot longer than Mac. I then installed my Windows copy of NWN on the XP Pro partition and updated/installed everything that goes with that. Short Answer: I've got a computer that runs Harry Potter! Or so it seems for now. I'm a pessimist at heart That said, the weekend fast approcheth and I'll be pretty busy as I always am on the weekend. So don't expect to see much of me yet

I will not be returning to the server until the end of the semester. At that time, I will make a decision as to if I do wish to continue playing this game. As of late I really do not have the time, energy or desire to role play. I will not be checking the forums and subsequently I will not be checking forum PMs either.
With that said, if you have a story line or plot that involves any of my characters, I do apologize, but I suggest finding an alternative.
With that said, adios. I may one day be back.

I'm going to be scarce the next day or two. I managed to get sick already, and I'm in a bit of pain. When I'm needed, I'll log on, but until then, I'ma go rest. <3 you guys.
