Yes, we know the server's down. (It actually went down at about 6:30 MST this morning.) Yes, it will be back up when it can be managed. Worst-case scenario (other than the server blowing up or something *knocks on computer desk*) is that it won't be back up until Calan gets home tonight. In the meantime, thank you for your patience. Now's a good time for everyone to get caught up on the stuff that tends to fall by the wayside, like bios, rp posts, etc. If anyone wants me, I will be haunting MSN and the forums for most of the afternoon unless I do somehow manage to pass out like I should be doing, but hopefully won't be as I'm going to be trying my best to catch up on posts I should be making too. I'm also going to be on the GameSpy chat, but I'll probably be afkish there. Edit - I don't recommend the GameSpy chat as atm it's just full of people complaining about Arelith being down and other people being as annoying as possible.

Btw, everyone is more than welcome to help us take over the "Alternative" chat on GameSpy. *whistles innocently*
Right now, it's only HPers in there. :p

Server is up and we've all abandoned GameSpy chat. Everyone say "Thank you, Ree!"

Server will be down for a while today while the ISP tech comes to the house to attempt to diagnose why we have been experiencing intermittent internet disconnects. Hopefully we can figure this out.
I will post here if I can before the server goes down, and post again when it's back.

The internet was out when the ISP dude came over, so I wasn't able to post that things were going down. He replaced a splitter that he thinks was acting up, and showed me how to get diagnostic data in case it keeps going down. We'll see if this improves things.
Server should be back up now, hopefully with no more interruptions.

Sadly, your connection was lost again. I blame the ISP dude! xD

Yes, it did in fact drop out again. The ISP dude has been contacted again.

The ISP dude (who is a contractor) called me back after contacting Cox (my ISP) who told him that they recently flagged some equipment in my area as not functioning properly. The equipment is slated to get repaired today, but that is not guaranteed.
Please hang in there, and believe me this is at least as annoying for me as it is you all (probably more so) so please rest assured that it will get fixed even if I have to change providers.

The server will be down for a time tomorrow (Sunday) for scheduled maintenence, OS upgrade, a server bug fix update, and a backup. I suspect it will be noon-ish AZ time, but I will post here in advance, and when the server goes back up.

Server is going down for maintenance now. Down time is estimated at 30-45 minutes. I will post here again when the server is back up.

Server had an internet glitch, and when it came back up I decided to reset the server due to a bugged out player slot which I believe was keeping more than 15 players from logging in. The server however refused to shut down because of the bug, forcing a computer reboot.
There is a program that is crashing on the server computer, and because I had to reboot remotely that program is going to come back up and try to run. I'm probably not going to be able to shut it down until I get home. If you notice the server is very laggy, that is why. I will kill that program as soon as I am able to, to get rid of the lag. -If- it's even happening.
Server should be up and running though.

In reference to above post...
I believe I kicked that crashing app's rear remotely with a permanent fix, so everything should be back to normal.

Server is on its way back up! Sorry about that! Little fingers decided buttons look fun to push! And no, I didn't trip over the power cord this time.
