The discussion in the other thread has got me thinking again. Is anyone interested in trying playing related chars like siblings, cousins etc.? It looks like a good time to try something like that, with new people on the server and the curriculum coming along.
If anyone is interested then let me know!

I'm going to have a new char in the new curriculum, but unfortunately she's solo by design(foic why  ) :\

Create the character you're thinking about and just let people know you're open to a Sibling. And if people like the character/idea, and the RP they see IG, they'll probably spark more of an interest in joining you than trying to ask them to pitch without a rough draft first!

I have thought of your idea and I would have been interested, but we are on different timezones. In fact, I have never seen you online. It's a shame but I'll have to pass  But love the idea and love to play a sibling with someone else...

Oh, mainly the evenings. But... European timezone  (which is, to be clear, UTC+2; meaning, if you are in Auckland as your profile says so, we have a gap of 10 hours... just dreadful!  )

I used to play siblings, mainly I had others playing siblings of my character who are never around much or at all anymore, although the last one who I had play a sibling to one of my characters I still play sometimes, she did warn me that she may not play her that often, and I told her I didn't care as long as she wanted to play her. So now the one character with a sibling I play more doesn't really have a sibling anymore because I haven't seen the person who played her in ages. I've noticed that lots of people tend to play their own siblings or relatives to their characters, so I started doing that, a brother and sister and 1 cousin, I still got the cousin to create for the family when I year up the brother.

I considered playing one of your siblings a few times, but what turned me off was that you already had all their personalities etc. laid out and I like to make up my own char.
But if you want to try making new chars together, Boots and I were planning to sort that out soon.

Anastasia McLaren, my Slytherin char, has just finished second year and IC gone home for the holidays between years. Her third year would be the year that her brother Niven, who's two years younger, would start at Hogwarts. I was just going to RP that he's around somewhere, but I thought I'd check first and see if anyone was actually interested in playing him? It does turn me off when people expect to be able to tell you your char's personality etc. when you're playing a related char, so whatever you want to make him is okay by me. You can even change his first name if you hate it and I'll change my bio. This is Anastasia's bio with the basic info on her family. viewtopic.php?f=10&t=5735 and the thread I started for her (and really should update) viewtopic.php?f=5&t=5697. There's very little information about her brother in there, so really he could turn out any way. A warning: Don't play him if you like yearing up fast. I am noted for my slow yearing and Anastasia will probably be at third year for a while. Although I do intend to year her up faster than I have been. I was shocked to realise that I was almost yearing her up in real time. XD If anyone is interested then let me know and we can discuss it!
