This is a story I've written a long time ago, when I was 17-18. My writing skills have gotten much better since than, but I want people to read this story, and give me an honest opinion - Read it, if you like it recommend the second story (ON THIS POST) and I will write it on a new post the second part of this if you guys like it...

"The Neko Story" - By Tristen Sullen

Chapter 1 - Escape

I am a member of the Selneit Tribe, or at least I was before the invasion. We the Selneit are peace loving catlings, we want to live with the world in peace with no war, and no violence. Then the war began, between our kind and the Human Felarya. There are two, or were two tribes of Catling's we the Selneit, and our brethern the Scortching Claws. The Scortching Claws lived on a Desert Island known as the Sandfall mazes. They're Village has a lot of trickery and a long line of magic imbued weapons. They called themselves the Scortching Claws, because they were the first ones to figure out how to make flaming weapons. The Scortching Claw saw themself as a superior breed of catlings, but they didn't care too much about domination, unlike the Human Felarya who wanted a nation of all humans ruling the world. They're the reason why this war has begun. They want the entire worlds technology at their hands to have the power to destroy any nation seen as a threat to them. My story begins after our tribe was massacred by these brutish thugs.

After the fighting had stopped the rest of the remaining Selneit came out from hiding. There were four survivors left that included Riki, Maneki, Nena (No tie with ZS, in fact this is where I got Nena's name) and me Sakura. Riki our battle tactician told us that our only route out that is out of the Human Felarya's ways would be through Ixtapalapa also known as the "Second Sky" for our home was ontop a 7,000 ft tall mountain called Frostpeak. Our nation is the Felarya Empire. Anyways Riki told us we must head through the Second Sky mountain pass to get to the docks and get away. As we approached the mountain pass we thought of a plan to get us through without waking any of the monsters that live here, the Second Sky was the most dangerous place in Felarya, it was left alone due to many of the monsters that live there. Even to the Human Felarya, the monsters would eat them alive, although the monsters did not go looking for trouble, so we just left them in peace. Getting through the pass was my job to guide everyone safetly through. I was the rogue of the group after all. Maneki the warrior stayed closely behind me incase any danger occurs she'd be right there to fight. Hours later, we've finally reached the end of the mountain, yet something heard us approach the mountains end. A yeti growls as loud as it approaches us, Maneki takes the stand to fight the beast, even though it would be impossible to win even with the four of us combind we are no match against this 15 ft tall abobination. We made our way down the mountain pass, as we hit the bottom we heard Maneki's loud scream. She was dead, but we couldn't stop, we made our way to the dock, and got our positions, raised the sails and took off as soon as possible. Our destination-- The Sandfall Mazes aka; Scortching Tribe territory.

Chapter 2 - The Sandfall Mazes

The sign of morning has risen in the sky, we've been sailing for about ten hours now. I yawn and stretch as I get out of my bed. As we all come to the deck our eyes stare at the vast desert mazes of the Scortching Claw Tribe. As we gotten closer, we knew this place wasn't going to be easy to figure it out. The Sandfall Mazes stood over fifty feet high, and was a narrow canyon with multiple paths that only the Scortching Tribe members knew how to get through. Not to mention, this place made us sweat before we even hit land. We Selneits are used to living at a tempreture below zero, it must be over one-hundred here.

"There is no way I'm going through this place! Who knows if there is any water, or how many creatures live here!" Says Nena who was always complaining about something.
"We have to" Says Riki, if we don't we'll never be able to stand up to the Felaryan Humans.

I didn't wish to go either but, I said "Come on, we have to get a move on before it gets dark."

We entered the desert, the sands burning our feet every step. As we came to a three way intersection.

"Should we go left or right?" Nena says

"It doesn't matter, we don't know, so we might as well just pick a path" I said.

We decided to go left, which lead us to a sand cave, at least things cooled down a little bit. Then we heard a yell, as Nena yelled "Eep!"

"Stay here, I'll go check it out." I said.

As I went deeper into the cave, the voice gotten louder, and I heard the sound of steel clashing, until I saw it. A man in a hood was in trouble, I quickly sprang to action to help me. He looked at me and said "What the hell are you doing here!? Can't you see, this place is dangerous, leave now!" I refused and Nena and Riki came running up. "He grunted at us, and said fine, stay here and get killed as a giant scorpion leaped out of the sands."

The mysterious man leaped into action, aiming for the head of the monster. I jumped on it's back to cut off it's tail, but it through me off it's back with a large heave as I hit the rocky walls of the cave. I grit my teeth, slide under it's stomach, and cut a big hole with my claws into it's belly as it screeched loudly. The mysterious man delivered the final blow into it's head, finishing it once and for all.
Me and the man both let out a gasp for breath as the scorpion fell to the floor.

The man looked at me and grinned, as he finally revealed himself, and took off his hood, and he said to me "You are one crazy [censored] pregnant dog!"

I looked at him. "Excuse me?"

"The name's Burt, I'm a warrior of the Scortching Claws. You may wonder why I am here fighting this monster alone, but-- Say...You're not one of us. You look like us, but that fur..." He said as he laughed"

My fur? "I said as I looked at him with his furless tanned skin body, medium length light brown hair, and orange cat eyes"

Oh! "He said" You must be from that other tribe, what's it, Sel--neit, Selneit tribe. Uhm...What are you doing here?

"Well..." I said, to put it short, our village was wiped out by the Felaryan Humans, and we needed allies so we came here.

"What!" He said, "That's terrible. Why would they do such a thing? Quickly we must head to the Sandfall City, I will guide you the way."

Nena said "Let me tend to your wounds first."

Chapter 3 - Sandfall City

As we arrived in the city, it was nightfall. Burt told us to get some rest in the inn, and tomorrow we could see the chief of the city first thing. He said "Goodbye" to us for now as we headed to get some sleep.

The next morning, when we were eating breakfast we overheard some of the tribe folk talking about trouble in the mazes. I only overheard a few words, and didn't think it was any of our business.
Then Burt came through the doors. "Hey, Selneits, the chief will see you now!" As the people look at as and wonder why we are here.

"Ok." Nena, Riki, and I said as we followed Burt to the chiefs home.

When inside we heard a voice, "Greetings Selneit Tribe, what brings you mountain dwellers to our desert home?" We look up, as I=we see an old catling, he had brown skin, like everyone else in the village, and no fur.

Riki says to him "We come to ask for your aid." and he said "Our aid? For what purpose?" As I told him "Our tribe, our village, has been destroyed by the humans living in our lands, and we were forced to evacuate."

The chief responds, "So, Felarya wants to wipe us all out huh? Well, I'm sorry but I cannot help you as of this moment, our village has problems of its own."

Nena asks "What is happening here?" as he responds "For weeks now we have had problems with giant monsters. For some reason, the creatures that live here are getting bigger, and are a threat to the city. Until we solve this problem. I'm afraid we can't take the risk..."

I ask "Is there anything we can do to help." The chief says "I don't believe so. We been searching for evidence of why they are growing, but we could not find anything.

Good day to you Selneit Tribe, I wish you the best luck on your travels.

As we left, Burt said to us, "So are we fighting to save you now?" We shook our heads and all responded "No..." Burt said, "I figured as much, our tribe is falling apart with this giant beast mystery."I said, right then, we'll be leaving." He said, "Wait! You need an escort, or you'll get lost in the mazes." We nodded and let him lead us back to our ship.

When we arrived back at the shore, our ship has been torn apart by something. We looked around, and tried to find who done it. Then we knew we wouldn't be leaving the Sandfall Mazes anytime soon, our ship was damaged by the monsters that infest the Mazes. So, we decided to go after what was causing these problems.

Chapter 4 - Solving Problems Part One

Prologue:
Since we had nowhere to go, we had to save the city in order to get out of this desert city.

"Alright, you furries, listen up. If you want to help solve this problem you are going to need to gear yourselves up. Let's head back to the city to see what we have for you" said Burt.

So, once again we went to the city, a lot of walking it was, I was beginning to think if life was really worth it. Riki stood their walking like it was no big deal, and Nena was breathing heavily the whole way. I said to Burt, "Is there any water near here?"

He responded "Of course" as he threw us his canteen.

We all took turns drinking at it, until it was empty. Luckily we were at the city again by the time it was empty.

"Now we go to the bazaar for some lovely equipment" Burt said. Say what kind of armor do you wear miss, uhm--Say I didn't get your name." The name is Sakura, and this is Riki, and Nena." He responded "Ahh, miss Nena, what do you wish? Some nice heavy full plate, perhaps a large tower shield, and a bastard sword?" I looked at him funny, as he continued." Haha. I'm just fooling around, maybe a chain tunic, and a bow? Seems you already have your melee weapon of choice, he says as he looks at my claws." I shrug and said that will do fine I suppose."

"We need to get you some fire arrows too!" Burt said

"Fire Arrows." They aren't that rare? He laughs and responds "No, they are our specialty, we imbue everything in fire, we're the Scortching Claws for crying out loud." --"Anyways, how about you?" As he points to Riki. Riki said, uhm I don't fight. I am a tact--

Being cut off by Burt "Haha! Fine, you don't have to fight, and you?" As he points to Nena.

Nena says "Uhm, I don't fight either, I heal wounds and such."

Burt responds "Hmm...maybe a couple scrolls for you then. Perhaps our magic fire imbuing powers."

We walk up to a shop in the left side of the city, and Burt says to the merchant, one chain shirt, twenty fire arrows, and ten darkfire scrolls." The merchant says "1,240 gold please, as he hands it to him.

I look at Burt and say "Where did you get all that money!?" He said to me "That's what I get payed to do. You don't think us warriors fight for free do ya'?"

As Burt continues on..."The sun is going down. We should rest up for tomarrow, for we start heading deep into the Sandfall Mazes, and see what is going on here."

Chapter 5 - Solving Problems Part 2

Dialogue:
As we woke up the next morning we ate breakfast and put on our newly bought gear. Then we left town in seek on the cause of the giant monsters.

"So...Where should we start?" I asked.

Riki Responded, "How about the caves where we met with Burt. That was the first time we seen one."

We all headed off to the sand cave again, and I said,

"There is nothing here." Burt responded "Like we said, we don't know anything suspicious, we never planned to have found anything here."

"So where should we go now?" I asked, Burt said, "To the other side of the mountains."

So we took the other path we didn't take earlier, and we ended up at another dead end. I said,

"d**n it! What's wrong with this place, where do these d**n monsters come from if there is no path!?"

Burt said "Well, let's try the northwestern path."

I sigh and said "I guess we don't have a choice"

So once again, we head towards another path, and still nothing...We continued to take paths until it started to get dark, we found absolutely nothing, not even a clue to where they are coming from. Suddenly a loud screech was heard from the sky, followed by loud flapping, as we saw it head for a mountain.

"How do we get there Burt?" I asked, and he responded, I don't know I've never seen the place before. This is the first time I've seen it. "

Suddenly, a new path was revealed. The sand faded into nothing, and it lead right to the mountain, so we followed it up, as screeches were heard throughout the mountain. We followed it up until we reached a small cave, where we could get some rest, perhaps eat some food. So we went inside, and we ate dinner, and tried to get some rest.

-Screech!- We all arose from our resting area, looking around.

Nena said "What was that!?" Burt Responded, "Something knows we're here." Everyone ready yourself for combat!

I grab my bow and arrows, and Nena grabs her scrolls, as a large bat comes flying into the cave.

I shoot it in the wing with a fire arrow as it burns a hole through and it screeches, making the echoes of the cave a deafening sound. We hold our ears as it comes to attack me, I roll to the side, but it's claws ripped through my leg as I let out a scream of pain.

"Nena, use the fire scrolls on my weapon."

Nena reads the scroll as a burst of flaming light appears on Burt's halberd as he runs up to slash the monster."

The monster's body splits in half, and on the floor in two pieces."

Burt says "We must get out of here, I have a feeling the monster's know we are here. We must keep moving."

So we head further up the mountain, exhausted from that fight, and tired as well just waking up from an attack. We continue to path until we reach the top, which there stood an odd glowing orb. It stood there at the top, it may just have been me but I could feel it staring into my soul as if it could see me.

Burt yelled "Don't look into the orb!" but it was too late...Riki who just kept staring at it, screamed as his body begin to grow large, and his form changing into that of a monster, as he roared.

Burt yelled "Nena, light my halberd!"

Nena yelled back "No, I can't hurt Riki, he's our friend."

Burt said "Nena, that thing isn't your friend, he will kill you if we don't fight back!"

I said "Isn't there some other way, he's our friend."

Burt said "I'll hold the thing off, you try to disable the orb, but if you can't...I'm afraid we'll have no choice."

Burt leaps into action to distract Riki, but Riki easily smacks him out of the way. I run for the orb, as it catches Riki's attention as he attempts to charge at Nena. Burt then throws a rock at Riki trying to grab his attention, which caught his attention, and I grab the orb off the pedestal and throw it to the ground. It bounces but it didn't break.

"Burt! It wont break!" I yelled.

"Then figure out something else, hurry!" he yelled back.

I throw the rock against the pedestal, I smash it on the ground many many times, finally a small crack appears in it.

"Burt! Slash it with your halberd! I'll distract Riki."

Burt runs up to slash the orb as I jump toward Riki. Him being as powerful as he was, batted me like a fly as I fell off the edge of the mountain. Burt slashes the orb, as a purple gas is released, Riki is returned to normal size, and the mountain is at peace.

"Sakura!" Burt yells as he looks down the cliff and sees me with my claws dug into the mountain climbing up."

"Ahahahaha! Looks like you can use a hand." Burt says smirking at me.

"Will you just get me up!?" I yell back.

As he helps me back up the morning rises, and the mountain we were on turns into a vast desert as if it never existed, and we take Riki, who was unconscious back to the inn for some rest, and of course some sleep for ourselves as well."

Burt looks to me and says "So you're leaving tomorrow right?"

I nod at him, and say "Yes." He looks at me and says, "Where do you plan on going?"

I look back, "To the elven city."

He looks at me like I'm crazy and says, "You're going to enter the other world!?"

I look at him, "Yes, the Felarya Humans will eventually band together with the regular humans and rid this place of all life besides humans."

He looks at me, and nods and walks out the inn doors.

Chapter 6 - To a New World

Dialogue:
After we awoke in the evening, we went to the chiefs hut, to tell him what has happened, and how we saved his land from the giant monsters infesting his lands. He then told us how we have the support of the Scortching Claw Tribe, to aid us in the battle against the Humans. Afterwords he gave us use one of his ships parked in the docks south of the village for helping out the village.

We headed down to the docks to get ready to leave, when we saw a battle ship coming straight toward us. It docked right next to ours, and a few human soldiers in armor came out as their leader shouted.

You run away half cat bastards caused us nothing but trouble having to hunt you down like dogs. You should have just stayed in your village, and died with the rest of your d**n kind. Prepare to die you worthless bunch!

They drew out their weapons and came towards us. We were defenseless, so we thought it to be the end.

Just then, a rain of fire arrows came down on their ship, and an entire army came prepared to fight. Shouts of triumph filled the skies.

"Send the human's back! Or kill them in the attempt!" followed by we saw a familiar face. It was Burt, and he said,

"You think you were going to leave without saying goodbye?" and grins at me."

I responded sarcastically "Well, you weren't there, so we didn't say anything."

Burt chokes, and then laughs. Then says "Well, I've done a lot of thinking, since you lovely ladies need a strong warrior, I have decided to help you get our army together and crush those human scum once and for all!"

I said "You serious? It's going to be a long trip, and you might not come back alive."

He said, "Ha! You can't scare me with your talk."

I said "Alright then. It will be fine with me."

Chants are heard, "They are fleeing, the humans are showing signs of weakness!" As the crowd cheers.

"Alright, let's get out of here before reinforcements show up." Nena says.

"Raise the sails Burt!" I said, "Aye' Aye' Captain!" He responds.

Burt raises the sails then says "And we're off!"

Hours pass as we're sailing...

"So, Sakura...How do we enter the land of the other races?"

I respond, "We need to go back to Frostpeak first. The human's have that kind of technology to open a dimension to a new world."

Nena says "Sakura, you must be crazy that will get us all killed" Riki says "We have to Nena. It's the only way of winning."

Burt says "What's the battle plan Riki?"

Riki says "There is an entrence on the east side of their kingdom that is not guarded very well. When I was little I used to go through it all the time with my parents."

Burt Responds "So...We're busting through the side entrance huh?
"You know where this device is Sakura?"

I respond, "Yes, there is a laboratory where it was made. They're should only one, but more will soon be made.

"I'm going alone on this one." I said.

Burt says "You gotta be crazy, what if you get killed!?"

I said "We have a higher chance of getting it, if I'm alone. I've done this before."

"Look there it is!" Nena shouts.

"Felarya Castle..." Riki says.

I said "This is as far as we can go together. I will swim from here."

Burt laughs as I ask him "what's so funny?" He responds. "You're a furry, you're going to be a wet girl thingy when you go down." He says as he cracks up."

I look at him with a thingyed brow and say "That's not funny at all, but I can dry off when I get back. It will be fine."

After that, I dove into the water and swam to the side entrance of the castle.

As I submerged from the water my fur was soaked of course. I scrambled to my feet dripping with water. I peeked around the corner to see if anyone was there. Two guards guarding the entrance on each side of the door. I quickly thought of a plan. Then I saw a stack of wood and pulled out my bow launching a fire arrow into it. The guards than quickly ran to the fire as I ran past them into the castle entrance.

As I went in I heard them say "We've been breached! Get guards right away to the east entrance!" One of the guards ran past me without noticing my location as I found a dark space to hide my position for the time. A fleet of guards came, and searched high and low for me, my heart was beating like crazy, as they came in my direction. It looks as if they were looking directly at me, when the guard said "All clear!"

I let out a breath of relief when they all left, and went up the stairs, then saw another guard next by the stairway. Didn't look like he was paying attention to who went up it though. So I thought this would be a snap. I went in back of him, going all the way around the room being extra quiet so he didn't hear. As I took a step a the staircase it caught his attention as he yelled "Who's there!?" As he turned around. Luckily my body was already pressed against the staircase so he couldn't see me. I quickly ran down the stairs into a whole new room. There was no guards here. Just workers. Scientists to be exact. They all run past me not seeming to care what my business is here. I walk into a room with a bunch of fancy weapons and armors. I've reached the technology lab. I walk in, and look for the dimension device.

After a little bit of searching, I think I've found it. It was a rod shape, that had a symbol on it.

Hey, that's mine! "A voice yells!" I quickly turn around as a man in a hood stands in front of me.

I got ready to fight as I draw out my claws. As he said "Ugh...Fine, I'll take it from you then."

He draws forth a beam of energy to his hand and fires it at me.
Then he grabs it from my hands and walks from the room. I try to get it back but my body won't move. I look down as my lower body is covered in ice.

A lot of footsteps are heard coming from up the stairs, "The intruder is down here!" As a bunch of guards draw their weapons on the man, he then runs back into the room and locks it with a spell, with the guards bashing on it forcing their way in.

He says to me, "You cat! I need your help, so we can get out of here alive." He says as he casts another spell to unfreeze me.
"This room is full of traps, I want you to set one up next to that door, so when they come in here we can escape.

I said to him "What makes you think I know--"

He cut me off "Just do it!"

I listen to him, as I think to myself "I know a lot of about traps, because it's what I do best, I wonder how he knew I could set up a trap though."

I grab a spike trap wanting to show these jerks what death means. I set it up next to the floor as he said, and he unlocks the door. The trap explodes, as they were all gutted by the spikes, they took their final breaths, as they looked at me I had a smirk on my face. Then we walked out of the castle with the device in his hands.

He looked at me and said "Nice work."

I said "Thanks."

He responded "Why did you choose the spike trap?"

I responded, "They are murderers, they deserve it."

He takes off his hood, and reveals his light colored peach skin, blonde hair, blue eyes, and small figure. "I'm Celas Ju'ein."

I look excited as I say, "An elven wizard!?"

He nodded, and said, "Well, thanks for your help, I'm off!"

I yelled "Wait!?"

He looked back, "What is it?" He said

I said, "That device. I need it."

He said, "Why?"

I responded "I wanted to ask the elven people for our help against the humans..."

He says "Well, you know you can't use it right?"

I responded, "Why not?"

He said, "It takes an arcane specialist, and well, you're not one."

I said, "Could you please help us get into your lands, please?"

He said, "How much you willing to pay?"

I said, "I'm broke...."

He said, "Well, maybe I could...but you need to do me a favor as well."

I said, "Name it."

He grins, "Become my apprentice."

I said, "Fine."

He laughs and says, "Alright then." Lets enter the world of the elves, and the other races, halfling, dwarfs, gnomes, orcs, and of course...humans..."

"Now, lets get a move on..." He says

We get back to the ship, as Nena, and Riki says, did you get it? I say "Yes I have it." as Celas enter's the room.

Nena yells, "Sakura, someone followed you back, look out!"

I said, "Relax Nena. This is Celas, he helped me escape, and he is here to activate the portal for us."

Celas says, "Yes, I am here to take you to my land for your friend here has promised to become my apprentice."

"Alright Celas, you can open the portal." He responds, "Alright." As he mumbles a bunch of arcane phrases, and a black hole opens up upon the sea. "It's Open." He says.

Whole group, excluded Celas, "Whoo-hoo!!!"

Chapter 7 - Asking the Elves

Dialogue:
We enter the portal...

"Head Northwest Sakura. That is the way to the elven city." Celas stated.

As we head northwest we approach a large beautiful city in the distance as Celas spoke.

"Let's hurry up and dock. The ship port is in the western end of the city. After we get off we must go to city hall, and explain your situation. Sakura, I need you to come with me, the rest of you I want you to wait on the ship."

Burt yelled out, "Hey! Why can't we go?"

Celas looked away, ignoring Burt and exclaimed "Come Sakura!"

Burt was pissed, but without anymore dialogue he grumbled and went below deck. As so did everyone else.

After we got off the ship I asked, "Why couldn't the rest come, they really wanted to see the city."

"You'll find out soon enough." He said in a cold voice.

As we approached the main city, two guards approach me and yell.

"Halt outsider, you cannot enter this city!"

They look at my form for a second with a dazed look, as they whisper to each other.

"What is she, what the hell is that thing!?--"

Celas cut them off, "She's with me!"

The guards gasp, "Master Celas! I'm sorry sir but by order of the council of [Eliwyn] we can't let this...Thing...through.

I get pissed, "Excuse me thing!?"

Celas exlaimed, "Sakura, enough!" then said it a gentle tone, "She's my apprentice. She must study my work."

The guards look at each other, and then back to Celas, "Err...Well, I suppose we can let you pass, but if you cause trouble we'll throw you in a cell so fast your head will spin!"

Celas said in a dark low voice, "Now you know..."

I looked at him and asked, "What happened here, why don't they trust me."

He looked at me, "You will find out soon..." in that dark voice of his.

As we walked through the city many looked at me as a threat, others laughed at my appearence which made me feel embarrassed, until we finally reached city hall and went inside."

"It is only down this hall, till you meet the mayor of this city, and he will explain to you our situation."

As I walked down the hall, my heart was beating, wondering to myself what type of man he is, I wondered, will he except me, and my story, will he laugh in my face, my stomach curled as we reached the end of the hall. Celas opened the door and pushed me in as I stumbled over into the room.

As I catch my balance I get a glance of the room, which was very fancy with fine pottery, a glass shandler hung from the ceiling, and a polished oak wood desk with a woman in a soft leather chair with long blonde hair and a long blue dress made from pure silk standing behind it.

She said in a strong voice, "Can I help you?"

My heart was pounding I couldn't say a word, fearing her answer.

Celas stepped in, and exclaimed to me, "Tell her why you're hear Sakura."

I opened my mouth, "Y-y-you're a woman!"

She looked at me, "Are you surprised to see that or something?"

I studdered, "N-n-no."

She said with her strong voice, "Now, tell me what you want girl."

I caught my breath and finally calmed down, "M-O-Our homeland, Felarya, h-has been attacked by humans. u-I request, y-your a-assistance in h-helping us fight the them..."

She looks at me, "Hmm...Felarya, I'm not familiar with that. Celas, what is she talking about?"

Celas looked at me then to her. "Another world Marii"

I stepped in, "They have access to this world, as well as ours, they will not stop until humans are the only race left in any world."

Marii responded, "Nonsense child! This is the world, are you some kind of spy!?"

Celas exclaimed, "No Marii, it's the truth, I've been to their world, I even have proof." He holds out the portal device. "With this device, they do indeed have access to this, and their technology is far ahead of our own."

Marii sighs, "Alright child. You have the help of the elves. But! Before that, I need you to do something for us. There is a cave of drow, dark elves who want us dead. Destroy their enterence to our city, and Celas, tell the troops to prepare for battle. We won't let the humans destroy our home!"

Celas runs out as I asked Marii, "How do we seal off the caves?"

She responded, "Hmm...Well, I suppose we can ask the dwarves. They live in mines northeast of here, they build explosives, and such."

I said to her confused, "Why couldn't you just ask?"

She responded laughing, "Ha! Those big mouths won't listen to us. We're not in war or anything with them, but dwarves don't like us elves, as we don't really like them either. They are a ruthless, disgusting bunch, who smell like dirt and ale, but...they don't you. So, here is fifty--better make it one-hundred gold for the explosives, and if they ask what for, make up a story, just don't say for us."

I went back to the port, as I saw the Humans, they we're searching for us, and looking for the portal device we stole. There were a lot of them, I could say twenty of them were here. They really came prepared this time. I hid behind a corner as I saw them looking my way. They looked back as they spotted our ship. My stomach pounded as they approached it. Luckily an elven guard was standing watch I thought, but that didn't stop them, they pushed him into the water and walked on board. I ran over to our ship, and helped the guard who was pushed in the water, he told me,

"They are looking for you..."

"I gulped and panicked. As I heard screaming from inside our ship. Burt ran out screaming for help as he bumped into me,

"Burt! Where is Nena and Riki."

Burt sighed at me, "....."

My eyes grew wide as I screamed, "Noooooooooo!!!!"

Burt pulled me away, "Come on, let's get out of here!"

I couldn't believe it, Nena, Riki...They been there all my life for me....

"They will pay for this!" I shouted.

Celas ran to me with a small army of elves, "Sakura, I came as quickly as I saw, what happened!?"

A tear rolled down my eye, as I said, "Their gone..."

Celas said, "d**n it! They'll pay for this."

As the army of twenty soldiers came out, Celas screamed,
"Shoot those d**n bastards!" As the humans stared at them with wide eyes, they we're blasted down with massive waves of spells, until finally,

"Cease fire." Celas commanded.

The humans were no more.

Celas looked at me gritting his teeth together, "I'm sorry Nena...If it wasn't for me, they'd still be alive..."

I couldn't believe it...

Maneki, Nena, Riki...All of them dead.

I picked up my head, and let out a deep sigh as I stated, "Celas, we must get to the dwarven mines, and buy some dynamite to seal off the dark elf caves. I swear I will avenge you my friends!"

Celas nodded, feeling bad he dropped his mysterious act for good.

Chapter 8 - Dwarf Mine's

Prologue:
Me, Burt, and Celas board the ship with the elves, and sail Northwest to the Dwarf Mine's. I sit in the lower deck the entire way, thinking about my friends, and the times we spent up until now, until I finally cried myself to sleep.

Morning came as I awoke from the worst night of sleep ever, Celas came down,

"Sakura, it's time to go get the explosives."

I got out of bed not willing to really do anything constructive. When Celas came and sat beside me,

"Sakura, we need you to come to come, I can't show my face in a dwarven village.

I looked back at him with pain in my eyes, "Ok..."

Burt said as he looked at me with spirit, "Hey Sakura, I know it's hard but lighten up.--"

Celas cut him off, "Burt!"

He looked back at Celas than too me, "Oops, sorry..."

I don't know why, but as he said that it made me smile as I had enough energy to say, "Alright, let's do this for Maneki, Nena, and Riki!."

As we get off the ship, we spot an old cave in a mountain.

"Where is the village?" I asked.

"Through that cave." Celas responded.

"They live in a cave?" Burt asked confused.

"Yes, that's where the mines are inside the caves, they made their homes in caves so they didn't have to go back and fourth out of their homes to dig." Celas responded.

"How do you know--" Burt getting cut off by Celas

"Are we going to ask questions all day or get a move on?"

Burt staggered, "Err...Sorry Celas, let's get going."

We walked through the caves, not really anything strange monsters running about, there were a couple of bats, and spiders going about, but nothing particularly to make us have to fight.

We kept walking until finally we reached the village, it looked just like the caves, only their were homes, and little short people walking around doing their business."

Celas said, "This is as far as we can go Sakura, it's up to you and Burt from here."

I nod and walk into the city walk into the city with Burt, as the dwarves look at us like anyone else would,

A few of them shout, "Whad in da bloody hells are yous!"

I suddenly feel like we're not welcome here. Then a large muscular dwarf with brown hair and a long braided beard gets in my face,

"Whad bussiness ya got 'ere freaks!?"

Talk about rude, but I looked him in the eye,

"Explosives."

"Ha! Whad ya be usin' dem fur lass?"

I studdered a second, "E-err...We're explorers, we found this sealed off cave, and we need some explosives to get to it."

"Sealed auf cave!?" He looks interested, as I think "Uhh oh!"

"Yes, it's in the elven lands." I responded quickly.

He grumbles at me, and says, "Gah, blasted tree huggers! Da explosives ar' in da far back tent, but dey ain't cheap lass."

I nodded and we went over to the back tent and went inside,

The shopkeeper gave me a stare, "Whad in da hells ar' yous!"

I responded, "We're here to buy explosives. I put the hundred coins on the counter."

The dwarf stares at me like I'm stupid, "Ye tink I wuz bern yesturday lass!? We dun't sell tings to fureigners. E-speshully tew sumting lik' yous!"

Voices from outside are heard, a familiar voice...

"Celas!" I exclaimed

We looked outside the tent,

"Let me go you d**n dwarves!" As they took him inside a large tent with guards surrounding it."

"See! I knew yas cud'nt be trusted! Ye be helpin elves! Now git outta ere' befur I call da guerds! Ye be lucky I dun't hav' em lock ye up tew fur dis!"

We had to help Celas, he would have already torn apart this village if he meant any harm.

We walked from the tent to that big tent where they taken Celas, and thought there has to be away around those guards.

"psst!" A voice called out from the shadows.

I look back where the voice came from, it was that man from earlier.

"I can git your friend out lass, but id'll caust ya." He said with a wide grin.

"How much?" I asked.

"He said to me with a nasty grin" Who cud put a price aun sumting like you?"

"What me?" I asked confused, "What do you--"

He cuts me off, "Let's jus' say I hav' dis thing fur exotic...creatures."

I stare at him with anger in my heart, "No! I will not."

Burt looks at me with relief as he said, "You're nuts dwarf!"

He looks back at us, "Awh...That's too bad fur yur liddle friend dair."

I couldn't believe it, he had me in a rough spot.

I responded, "I'll do it. But first, you have to get him out."

Burt shouted, "Sakura!?"

I whisper softy to him, "Don't worry I have a plan."

He responded with glee in his eyes, "Haha! Yur in fer a fun night!"

"Alright, watch this." He runs over to the guards and says something, as they run off to the entrance of the mines. I run inside and see Celas chained down to the floor.

"Celas!" I said excitedly

"Sakura!? What are you doing, get out of here." He said in a scared face.

"Not without you!" I exclaim and pick the locks.

He sighed at me and said, "Did you get the explosives?"

I explained to him, "The guy wouldn't sell them to me..."

The dwarf said excited, "No worriez ma' furry friends, I get them, fur free too." He laughs excited as he runs off to go get them."

Celas looked at me, "What's he so excited about."

I said blushingly, "I kinda had to tell a little lie to get you out."

Celas responded, "Lie?"

The dwarf comes out, "Alright lass here be dem explosives, now it's time for your part of the bargain" he says as he tries to grab onto me.

I looked at him, "Sorry, I lied." I pulled out an ice trap and through it to his feet as it exploded and held him in place as we ran out of the cave back to them ship.

As we run running, a loud yell came from the cave, "Dam' b*tch! Yaul regret dis!"

As we come close to the entrance the two guards who were guarding the tent yelled,

"De prisoner has escaped!"

Celas mumbled some magical language as a cone of ice formed that froze the guards in place. Without looking back, Burt said sarcastically,

"Well, guess we won't be welcomed back there for awhile."

We quickly hoisted the anchors, as we set fourth once again on the open sea to the elven city, and finish the job.

Chapter 9 - The Underdark

(On the ship)

Sakura, you doing alright? "Celas asks in a low voice."

I smile at Celas, "Yeah...Just doing a little bit of thinking is all..."

"I know how you feel Sakura. Leaving the ones you love behind..." he mumbled slightly.

I look back, "Hmm, what's that?"

Celas looked back at me with a smile, "It's nothing. We'll be docking soon."

"We're back!" Burt shouted out.

"Let's all go together this time..." Celas said still feeling a bit guilty about the accident.

I look to Celas, "Ok, where are these caves?"

Celas lets out a sigh, "North of the city...Just follow me, and stay close behind. They are not very friendly, and they will kill you on sight if they see you."

We head to the north of the city, as Celas says, "Are you ready, Sakura, Burt?"

We nod, and head to the north end of the city.

I pull out my bow, and Burt draws his halbred as we headed out. We walk on for hours until it becomes almost too dark to see anymore.

I hear voices as my ears perk up, Burt growls, and Celas draws his staff, "They're coming."

Shadows from all around surround us, as we guard each others backs in a circular motion. Suddenly, *fwoon* As I scream, "Ahhh!!! My leg!" Celas looked back and screamed.

"Sakura!" He tried to help me out but something came out of the shadow and *cut* As Celas fell too his knees not knowing what hit him.

"What the hell!" Burt said frantically, as a gang of dark elves capture Burt from behind with a dagger to his throat. They smile manically, as they draw their main weapons. They look to us, "How would you like us to end your pitiful existence. One male drow looks directly at me and Burt, "What are you two, and what makes you defy the drow?"

I look at him thriving in pain, I growl at them not being in too much pain to talk.

"Talk beasts, or I will kill you all right here!" the drow exclaims.

Burt shouts out, "We're nekos from another world!"

"Preposterous!" The drow shouts. "Take them into custody, I want to study these two."

The rest say, "What about the elf?" The male drow says, "I don't care, kill him."

"No!" I shout. "Celas!"

They knock us out, and we awoke we arrived in a prison. It was a cave, with steel bars in front of it. There were two guards, one on each side of the cell who could hear everything we said.

Burt says with a sigh, "Well I guess this is it Sakura...They took our gear, and everything. We have nothing to fight with even if we could."

I stay silent.

The guard yells, "Hey, will you shut up in there?"

I get an idea.

I whisper softly, "Hey Burt. Can you get those guards attention, I have a plan."

The guards yell back, "Hey, shut up or we'll make you!"

Burt yells back, "Yeah!? What can you do?"

One of the guards looks back furious, "Do not toy with us kid. I will be happy to give you a beating if you want."

Burt yells out, "Alright then let's go!"

The other guard says, "Let's make this kid learn his place."

They open the door and latch onto Burt. I make a run for it and yell back at the guards, "Hey stupids! You left the door open."

The guards yell back, "Son of a b*tch!"

They chase after me, not worrying about Burt anymore. I outrun the guards, and found a safe place behind a wallto hide and catch my breath. A minute later I heard someone else breathing, I quickly spun around and got ready to fight.

I looked him in the face and cried out for joy, "Celas, you're ok!"

Celas panting, "Y-yeah. They under-estimated--me." as he gives a smile.

I look at him, "What are you doing here!?"

Celas speaks as if he's been hiding something, "I'm sorry, I should have told you this sooner. My girlfriend...She's a -- dark elf..."

I look at him, "Oh..."

Celas cuts me off, "And, well...I didn't want you to seal her in this cave, so I came here to get her out..."

I look at him sadly, as he says to me, "This is what I meant by knowing what it's like to leave loved ones behind..."

I say to him, "How come you left her here?"

"Well..." He says sadly, "If the elves would have found her, they would have killed her. They would have called me a traitor, and I would have lost everything...I couldn't have ran away with her because drows can't travel in broad daylight. It would have put her life at risk, and I didn't want to hurt her, so I told her to stay in the cave, and we would meet every now and then..."

I look at Celas and smile, "Well, let's get her out!"

Celas looks at me, "The sun will hurt her though."

I look at the sky, "Morning already huh?"

"I think I have a plan" Celas says as he takes off his robe revealing a short sleeve white shirt, and brown leather pants. "We'll let her wear my robe, at least until we get her back to a dark cool area."

I said, "Sounds like a plan!"

"Wait, wait, wait." Celas said, "Where's Burt at?"

A voice comes from up above, "Waiting for you to stop talking." It was Burt. As he throws down a large pile of gear.

I look at him, "How did you manage to get it back!?"

He looks at me, "Let's just say those guards aren't as tough as they say they are." As he jumps down to us.

"Well let's get this over with." Burt says with a grin.

We all put on our gear, and head back into the drow cave.

Four guards yell, "Intruders!"

Burt says Sarcastically, "Only four?"

Celas freezes them all in place.

I grin manically at them, "So. How should we end your pitiful existence?"

"They look at me, and say" You don't have the guts!

I shrug at them, "Yeah I suppose your right. Kicking you out of the light world is punishment enough."

They shout, "What!? You can't!"

I say, "But I will, I don't tolerate people like you in the world. Celas, Burt, let us find Celas's friend and seal this place off."

As we get deep enough down we reach a city, as the people see us the people scream,

"Ahh, Celas! He's going to kill us!" As they run inside their homes.

I look at Celas, "Why are they so afraid of you?"

He responds in a gentle voice, "I am the leader of the elven mages, the most powerful one in Eliwyn. Unless caught by surprise like that one time, no one has managed to ever beat me."

Looking back surprised, "I see."

Celas looks to me and Burt, Well her home is just northwest of here."

We head down to her house, and when we get there, Celas opens the door. "Ahycila I'm back!"

A girl in pure black garments, dark blue skin, straight white hair that ran down to her neck and about four inches past her neck, with blood red eyes runs down stairs, "Celas! Is that you!?" She cracks a smile and runs to hug him, until she catches sign of us.

She looks at me and Burt, "Who are you two!? And what are you doing in my home?"

Celas cuts in, "Ahycila, this is Sakura, and Burt. They need our help."

Ahycila says to me, "So what exactly happened?"

I tell her, "The humans destroyed our village, and why I am here seeking help from the new world."

She asked me, "How did you get here?"

I looked to Celas, as he showed her the portal device.

She said, "So Celas, why you here so unsuspected?"

Celas said to her, "Ahycila, we need to get you out of here, or I may never see you again. We're blowing up the entrance to the Underdark."

Ahycila responded in terror, "What, no you can't! These are my family!"

"Please Ahycila, these people only create war with our kind. We can't keep on living like this."

Ahycila responds, "Celas, how else will I live, I can't be on the surface like you..."

"Well, find you a place, I promise Ahycila, but I love you too much to see you go."

Ahycila responds. "Alright Celas... I trust you." she smiles.

Celas smiles back at her and hands her the robe, "Here, put this on, it will protect you from the sun."

We head back, planting explosives throughout the cave to cause a large cave in. As he run out of their we hear a loud, KA-BOOM! As the entrance to the Underdark was no more. No more dark elves would be getting out of that hole.

Sakura, take Ahycila to the ship, I must return to Marii, and tell her of your deed to us.

We sneak Ahycilia past the city, we went around it to the docks. We waited for a couple hours in the ship, before Celas had returned.

We all stood up awaiting the news, he told us, "The elves are now ready for combat. Our next destination is the Gnome City, I have a letter from Marii explaining the situation. The gnomes have the greatest technology in all of the land. They're the only ones who can build magical weapons, and they also have a highly industrialized civilization as well. They live South East of here."

"Alright Celas, but we've had a rough night, let's get some sleep!" I exclaim.

Burt yells, "I agree!"

Ahycila nods, and Celas says, "Sounds swell."

Chapter 10 - Intermission (Is this really a chapter? You make the decision)

The next morning as I awoke I noticed the ship was moving. I ran upstairs to find everyone was already awake. Celas looks at me with a smile,

"You must have been tired, you've slept very well. We tried to wake you for breakfast, but you just slept through it."

I look up and yawn, "Did you save any for me?"

Celas looks at me, "We did but...Burt ate it."

I sigh as I look at Burt, he looks back at me like it wasn't his fault, "Hey don't look at me. I thought you were going to sleep until lunch."

"I guess you can have Burt's lunch then." Celas says with a grin.

I watch as they argue then say, "Alright. That sounds fair."

"What, no way!" Burt responded as if he was being threatened.

Ahycila looks at Burt "Calm down you baby. You already ate two meals."

Burt looks at Ahycila "Baby!?" He glares at her.

Ahycila turns away from Burt and to Celas, "Alright Celas, what do we do next?"

He responds "We're headed for the city of gnomes."

I shout out, "Hoist the anchors!"

Burt grumbles, "Aye aye captain..."

We head South East for hours, and yeah. I did eat Burt's lunch. He got mad, but finally was set straight.

"Dinner time!" Ahycila yells, the sun being gone she has the robe off. "I helped Celas make it, enjoy."

Shellfish, one of the many fine delicacies among the sea. We ate till we were stuffed that night.

Burt yelled, "So when are we going to get there?"

Celas says, "By sunrise tomorrow."

What do we do till then? "Burt whines."

Ahycila steps in, "There was this game I used to play with Celas when I was little."

Celas blushes, "Oh no, you can't possibly mean--"

Ahycila says, "Yup."

Celas sighs, "It's embarrassing though."

Ahycila responds with raise of voice, "You liked it when we we're little!"

"Shhh...Keep it down." Celas whispers.

I respond, "What game is this?"

"Do you want to play Sakura?" she said innocently.

"Alright, I'll give it a try."

She comes up to me, and says, "Follow my hands, and do the opposite arm I do."

I nod wondering what this is.

She begins, "Patty cake, patty cake, baker's man, bake me a cake as fast as you can."

I blush looking at Celas, and Burt, then back to her.

Celas laughs a little bit, and Burt kills the moment,

"This is stupid!"

Ahycila yells, "Oh, you're just jealous because I didn't ask you to play."

"I don't want to play anyways!" Burt scolded her.

"Want to play Burt." she asked innocently, Burt sighs, "Fine..."

She laughs, "I told you!"

Celas steps in, "That's enough. Sakura, you have any ideas what we should do?"

"I kinda liked Ahycila's idea." I grinned.

Burt yelled, "No!"

Celas, "Sakura...Don't start this over."

"Well, I guess we just go to sleep." I say boredly.

Burt says, "I liked Ahycila's idea better."

Celas shrugs, "Alright, whatever, learn to play Patty Cake from Ahycila then."

Ahycila sighs, "Fine, I'll teach him..."

They go off in a corner and play Patty Cake.

"I have an idea what we can do Sakura." Celas says, "Remember when you said you would be my apprentice?"

I nod, "So what about it?"

"I'm going to teach you how to read elven scrolls."

I smile and say, "Ok."


So, for the rest of the night, Ahycila and Burt play Patty Cake, we go off and do our thing, and wait for the next morning to come.

Chapter 11 - Thieves

Dialogue: Morning Came.

"We're here!" Ahycila yells aloud. As we wake up with a startle and look up to her...

Burt looks to her, "The sun is barely up!"

Celas responded, "Yeah, and we can't stay here or we could be attacked by the humans."

Burt sighed as he got up out of bed as we got ready to leave the ship.

Ahycila says, "Should I leave with you guys."

Celas respond, "Of course."

Burt raises voice to Celas, "Celas, we can't take her with us, these people will think she's a threat, and we can be imprisoned for being with her!"

Celas said back to Burt with a scold, "But, She could die if we leave her here!"

I said, "I guess we have no choice.

Ahycila says to me, "It's ok Burt, I can hide myself well, and there is plenty of buildings to keep my skin from burning that badly. Besides, I'm a cleric, and you'll need me if you get into trouble."

Burt said, "Fine. As long as you don't get us arrested."

Ahycila responded, "Look at you two though. You're an unknown race to these people. Who knows what they will do with you."

Celas sighed, "We'll be fine, can we go?"

We all responded, "Yup."

As we approach the city a short little guy in full armor yells out.

"State ya' business 'ere foreigners! -- And, whatever you two be, cat monsters, or--"

"We're here to ask assistance of the gnomes." Celas cuts him off.

"Assistance, fer' what?" the guard says curiously, as Celas pulls out a piece of paper and hands it to the guard.

The guard starts mumbling what's on the paper. "War! What du' ya mean war. You mean to tell me the humans want to wipe out the world of every race except their own!?

He continues, "Go on in. City hall is in the middle of the residential district." He says politely.


We head to the city hall, this was all going to be over soon. I soon thought to myself, after this battle has ended, what will I do with the rest of my life, I'm the last one of my tribe, it would be to sad to live their alone. As I was thinking a tear rolled down my cheek, and Celas turned to me.

"Sakura, are you alright?" as I look back at him with a tearful smile. I'm fine. I was just thinking is all..."

About? "Burt asked curiously.

Ahycila responded, "It's not polite to ask a woman what she's thinking about, especially when they're crying."

I responded, "It's ok, I'm fine."

Celas said, "You sure?" as I nod back to him, "Yeah, it's alright..." I responded in a low voice.

As we reached city hall we saw a group of small figures wearing masks, and carry big sacks with them. By looks as if they were trying to head back to their ship in the docks.

"They must be thieves." Celas stated.

"Shall we punish them Celas?" Ahycila replies.

Celas nods. "Sakura, cut off their escape. Burt, you back up Sakura from the rear. Me and Ahycila will take care of the rest."

Me, and Burt nod and we jump into action

As they reach the dock entrance I jump out from behind a supply of boxes.

They jump back as they say, "Who da hells are you!" They draw their knives, "Get out of our way freak!"

I scold back at them, "Freak, I'll show you a freak!" As I draw out my claws.

"Ahh! Run!" They yell as Burt catches them from behind. "Not so fast thieves!"

Ahycila comes from behind Burt chanting a spell as they try to make a break behind Burt, but Celas cuts of them by casting a hold spell on them.

Celas stops Ahycila, "That's enough Ahycila, the guards can handle it from here."

Ahycila continues as she takes off her hood and finishes the spell, as they get sucked into a spiraling vortex."

The towns people scream, "Drow, drow, there is a drow in the town. Guards cease her! And those foreigners are aiding her"

"A bunch of guards run up taking us down and handcuffing us"

"Stop!" Celas yelled. We're not the enemy."

"Shud up! Yous have the right to remain silent!" As they took us to the prisons.

We went in peace, not wanting to lose our allies with the gnomes.

They threw us in a cell together.

As soon as the guards left, Burt exclaimed.

"What the hell you stupid girl!"

"That's enough Burt!" Celas exclaimed back to Burt.

"Oh shut up Celas!" As he swings his fist at Celas hitting him in the mouth. "It's your fault in the first place she is with us!"

"Celas holds his mouth as he grows hatred for Burt shooting him with a bolt of ice through the stomach."

Burt stands their for a second, gasping for air as he falls to the floor.

"Celas!" I exclaimed.

"Celas looks at what he did, I-I didn't mean to..H-h-he made me!"

I yelled from the cell. "Help we have an injured man."

The guards came running in as they see Burt. "Quickly, get him some medical attention fast! As they open the cell grab Burt, and leave us locked in.

Celas looks at me, "I'm sorry Sakura...It was an accident."

Ahycila, "I'm sorry too Sakura. If I just have stayed, none of this would have happened."

I stared silently at the cell doors. Until--

"There's nothing we can do about it now...Only time will tell. Let's get some rest."

--

Nightfall came, as the guard came up to me. "You two are free to go. The dark elf will be executed though."

"What!"Celas yelled" "No! You can't she hasn't done anything."

"Drows are the world's enemy, I'm surprised someone like yourself is defending one elf."

"That's because I love her!" He yelled, and I won't let you take her!"

"It's ok Celas." I'm causing nothing but trouble..."

I step in, "No Ahycila, we can't break the team apart. If we lose hope, we will never save the world from the real threat."

"Real threat?" The guard asked.

"Yes...The humans are invading the world. They want to take it over for themselves. We come to ask your people's assistance is the only reason we're here."

"I see, and what were yous fighting when we arrived?" he asked questionably.

"We thought we saw some thieves, and we wanted to stop them, and Ahycila here went a little overboard, and destroyed them without even getting who they were."

"They are the halflings." The guard said, a group of thieves stealing our technology for themselves. They've been nothing but a handful.

"Why haven't you done anything about it?" Celas asked bluntly.

"Well, it's not that we haven't, we sent out several investigations to where we found their hideout to be, but no one has ever been able to find them. We could just bomb the entire island, but we'd be risking an entire civilization, and possibly start a war."

"I'll make you a deal. I'll let your dark elf friend go. If you stop the halflings from stealing our technology weapons."

"Technology weapons?" I asked.

"Yeah. We're the fastest growing technology in this world." As he pulls out a sword made of pure light. "This is a beam saber. It's light years ahead of what junk you guys have."

"There is more, but I will tell you if you manage to get back here alive. Of course, if you want your friend alive here."

"We'll do it!" Celas exclaimed.

I nod not wanting to, but we couldn't afford to lose each other.

"Oh!" The guard exclaimed. "Their headquarters is Southwest of here, here is a map for you. Also, your other friend will be fine, he just needs some rest, he should be fine after you get back."

Celas let out a sign of relief. "I hope he's not going to try to kill me for this."

I respond, "He won't. He will let it go because we need to thwart this threat on our hands."

"Goodluck you two." As he lets us out of the cage, and keeps Ahycila locked up.

"We'll be back Ahycila." Celas said with a smile to her.

Ahycila waved as we headed from the prison, and now we head for the halfling island, southwest of here.



Chapter 12 - Thief's Fort

As we set sail, Celas went to the lower decks of the ship, and lied there. When I got a steady course to where we were headed I followed him down.

"Celas...?" I said in a worried voice.

Celas looked at me back, "You need something Sakura?" He had a tear in his eye.

I sat down next to him, "Everything will be alright Celas."

Celas looked at me, "If I only could have done something about it..."

I looked at him, "It couldn't be avoided. She is more safe in those bars than in the Underdark or in the ship."

Celas sighed, "I guess your right Sakura...I just wish I could have prevented it..."

"Keep your chin up Celas. If you think about it too much, we'll be killed before we save her."

Celas says, "Of course Sakura." he then lets out a deep sigh and says, "Thank you for making me feel better."

I say with a smile, "It's ok Celas. We're friends."

Celas smiles back at me and says, "You should get some rest Sakura. I'll steer the ship from here."

"Alright." I nod.

"Wake up Sakura." I hear a voice.

"Sakura we're here." There it is again.

Finally I get nudged hard, "Sakura! We're at the island."

I wake up, "What, huh?"

Celas stands their, "Let's go."

"Right, sorry Celas, had a good dream."

Celas smiles but more concerned about Ahycila, "Could we talk about it later? We need to get going."

"Ok, ok." I respond with sleepy in my eye.

I get up out of bed, and stretch, as I walk outside, a large beautiful island stood in front of me. A long beach with palm trees, and fruits growing from trees and bushes. The trees lead into more trees, which eventually turned into a tropical jungle with large red mountains edging it.

"Beautiful isn't it Sakura?" Celas stated.

I nod, and smile. "Too bad it's home to a gang of thieves."

"Where should we start?" Celas asked.

"Maybe the jungle?" I stated.

Celas nodded.

We got off the ship, and looked at the path to the jungle.

"Look." I said. "Footprints."

"Do you think it's from the thieves Celas?"

Celas inspected them, "It seems to be from a small creature with human like feet. I've never met the halflings before though."

"Let's continue deeper." I said to him.

As we continue deeper the jungle starts to get dark,

"I can see why the gnomes couldn't find their way, even with my eyesight I can barely see this path." Celas stated. "Let me cast a spell."

Celas mumbled a few elven words, and my eye sight got a whole lot better. I could see at least an extra twenty feet ahead of me.

We continued on until we ran into the mountain. It was the end of the jungle.

"What do we do now Sakura!?" Celas asked in a panic.

"Hang on, there is a door here." I said.

"What how do you know that?" Celas said in amazement.

"You can see the door markings if you look close enough." As I point at the creases in the door.

"So...How do we open it?" Celas asked.

"Like this." I pull a stick of dynamite from my bag and strike it with a match.

"Stand back Celas!" I said as I dropped it by the door and ran.

*BOOM!* A cave appeared in front of us, as I stepped in an arrow jetted from the wall and cut my arm.

"Agh!" I groaned in pain. "This place is rigged with traps."

"Celas wait out here, or head back to the ship. It's too dangerous for you to go any further."

"What about you?" he responded.

"I'll be fine. Thief is just another name for rogue that steals. I can get through here fine, and be careful of the humans Celas. You never know when they will strike again."

Celas nodded and went back to the ship.

I looked where all the traps were as I jumped into the cave and began making my way through dodging the traps with grace."

As I reached the end I came to another part of the island. Behind the mountain, and I saw a group of short people sitting on logs eating. Just as I take another step they surprise ambush me from the front.

They we're wearing brown leather clothes, one had brown hair, and green eyes, another one had black hair and brown eyes, and the last one was a girl, she had black hair and green eyes.

The halfling with brown hair came up to me, "How'd ya' git 'ere animal girl! Never seen' nuthing like yous before!"

The girl responded, "Got anything good on yous!?" She jumps on me and starts picking me, as the other two make sure I don't move."

"Dwarven dynamite!?" She said, "and what's this, a magic fire bow? Where on earth did you get this!?"

I responded, "I come from a different world, I will explain if you let me."

The guy with the black hair said, "Ya' just wanna take our stuff! We not stupid! You be a thief to girly, I can tell because you got through our traps like it was nothing!"

"Listen to me please."

Another halfling appears behind them, he looks different then the rest of them, with blonde hair, and blue eyes, he is also wearing a black suit of armor that looks very heavy.

"Let her speak, I want to hear what she is, and how she got here." he said.

The three thieves grumbled as they let her speak.

"My name is Sakura, I come from another world...I will get back to you on the rest later though, I come on request of the gnomes."

"The gnomes?" he said, "You mean the ones who make all the technology? The ones who I took this armor from?"

I look at him, "How do you even wear that?"

He responded, "The armor is weightless actually, I don't know anything about it, other than it is very durable, and useful."

"Anyways." I said, "They want you to stop stealing their stuff, and in order to save our friend, we need make an agreement."

"No way." He stated directly. "These gnomes have one of the greatest technology resources in the world, how can we possibly just stop stealing it. We're bandits hello!"

"But wait..." he said, "Maybe we can make a deal. Those arrows, they make it's own fire, how do they do that?"

"I respond, it's from our world. Our friend back at the city would know more about that than me, I come from a another part of our world. In a frozen mountain called Frostpeak, right now we are under attack by the humans."

"The humans you say? What do they want?" he responded.

"They're forming an alliance with humans from our world, and your world to wipe out all other races remaining."

"Where's your proof animal girl?" he said thinking I'm lying.

"We have a device that opened a portal from our world to yours." I said.

"Oh really? Show it to me." He grinned.

"I don't have it with me, my friend has it, who is docked on island."I said.

"Here is the deal." He said. "If you are telling the truth, we will leave the gnomes alone, and start looting your home."

"What!?" I exclaimed.

"Ok how about this. Give us the device, and we won't kill you." He said as he takes finely crafted sword."

"We're at war please! The humans have way behind technology of anyone in this realm."

He puts away his sword. "So, you're saying these humans are loaded with technology?"

I nod.

He says, "Alright men! Prepare for a trip to the human world! We're going to steal us some better technology, and maybe, just maybe we'll leave the gnomes alone."

"Wait, wait! You're coming with us!?" I exclaimed

"We, we are coming with you." He grinned.

I sighed, not wanting to die though I lead them back to the ship, as Celas sees the new friends I made.

"Sakura, what in the hell do you have thieves with you.

The girl halfling scolded at Celas, "Shut yous mouth ors I will shut it for yas."

"Sakura...Why did you take these guys?" he sighed.

"To save Ahycila." I said.

The leader looks at Celas, "Show me that portal device I heard so much about."

Celas looks at me, "You told them about the portal device!?"

I look at Celas, "...."

The girl says, "Let's see it before we slit your throat."

"You vile creatures!" Celas shouted as he lit of a flame in his hand.

The leader says, "Whoa! Calm down, we can settle this without bloodshed." he looks to Celas, "May we please see the device?"

"For what purpose." Celas asked unwillingly to show it.

"The leader says, "We want hands on that human treasure, and also if you help us get it, we will help you by spying on the enemy."

Celas shows them the device.

"So that thing can open a portal to your world?"

Celas nods.

"Alright, you have our cooperation, we will stop stealing from the gnomes, but only if we get all of the human's technology."

Celas looks to me, and whispers, "I dunno Sakura, this could really unbalance the world, and who knows what they will use it for."

I said to Celas, "Well, it's up to you. If you want to save Ahycila, then you will say yes, and think later about the consequences."

Celas whispers with a frown, "Yes but..."

The leader cuts him off, "So do we have a deal?"

Celas looks at him, "....Deal..."

The thieves grin.

The leader says, "Alright cat monster, take us to the gnome city where we can seal the deal."

We hoist the anchor, and raise the sails as we sail off back to the gnome city. We slept the entire way back, except Celas, who couldn't take their eyes off the thieves.

As we begin enter the gnome territory, we see the city engulfed in flame.

Celas shouted, "Ahycila!"

As we get closer, we see what is happening, the humans are commencing their final attack! They are wiping out this world!

The thief leader say, "I see, so this is the power of the humans."

We dock and enter the city as a group of soldiers spot us.

"It's the last Neko! Kill it!" They shout, as a beam of light heads straight toward me a shield force field blocks it."

I look back in back of me, and see Ahycila using her magic to protect the people.

Celas shouts, "Ahycila you're alright!"

"So am I...Celas." Burt appears in front of him. "For now, I'll pretend what happened in the prison never happened, but afterward, we're going to have a long talk!"

Celas grins, "Well, let's kick the human out of the city, then we can plan our next move."

We all nod as a long battle with the gnomes, and us fight off the human invasion. The casualties were severe, the gnomes lost over three hundred soldiers in that fight with only two hundred humans to beat out.

As the battle ends, the surviving remainder of the gnomes, was about one hundred.

The thief leader says, "That is one destructive army!"

We gather up the rest of the soldiers and tend to the wounded, as the leader of the city comes to us,

"Thank ya for your aid, we would have been completely killed if it wasn't for that dark elf friend of yers. We are very sorry the way wes treated you, and hopes yous forgive us. I see even the thieves wanted to help save our world."

"No! You got it all wrong. We want their technology. That's why we're here. We're going to be stealing there stuff now instead of yours!"

The gnome leader said, "Well, during this time we shall pardon your actions, and fight for our lives."

"As for you, cat creatures, elf, and dark elf, I want you to warn the dwarves of this attack. They're a stubborn bunch, but they love this world just as any of us, and when they know we're all working together they will fight till the death with you."

Celas said, "Uhm...We're not really welcome in the dwarven city, we kind of caused a lot of trouble there already."

"No problem." Says the gnome leader, "I shall go with yu and persuade them otherwise." the leader said "and before we leave, I want to share some of our technology with yu for the final battle."

"Tu the technology factory!" He said.

We follow him to the factory as he reaches through boxes for war supplies.

"For all of you, these are weightless suits of full armor. They can protect you from a two ton boulder falling on you. Probably even more, but that's more than most armor can do for you. As for weapons, this is an energy rifle. It fires light pulses that are one hundred and twenty thousand degrees, and a couple extra batteries for it. This is for you cat girl."

He continues through the box, "Ahh! This is another useful thing for you male cat creature. The energy cannon. It will fire large explosive rounds of light, when you get into massive groups of enemies. It also comes with two extra batteries."

We look at the stuff, and say, "How does this thing work as I pull the trigger as a beam of light flies out"

"Eeek!" the gnome leader screams. "Like that. Becareful where you point that please!"

"Hmm, you two." He keeps digging in the box. "Aha!" This device is called a force field, it will deflect all matter from with in ten feet of yu, and yur allies as well. Unfortunately when in it, yu cannot send back attacks. This is for you dark elf.

"Hmm....Now you...What to give you wizard. Let's see..."Ahh! I know!" He pulls out a rocket pack from the chest. "This is a jetback, it will allow you to fly over great distances where you can unleash that elven magic all over your enemies. Quite handy if I du say su myself."

"Well, that's about all I have to spare. Let's go to the dwarven city, and convince them to fight with us!"

"Hey what about us!" The thief leader said.

"Well..." The gnome leader said, "I thought yu would have stole enough frum us to be satisfied by now...but this is war I suppose..."

He reaches into the chest and pulls out four laser rifles and 8 batteries. "Here...and armor for your team too..." He reaches in the box grabs the armor and throws it to the floor.

"Alright, let's go!" The gnome leader said.

We went back to our ship and headed back to the dwarven mines.

Chapter 13 - The Final Battle Part 1: Dwarven Defense

Prologue:

"Isn't there anything that can make this ship go faster? It will take days to get back to the dwarven mines." I said to the gnome leader.

"Of course. There are rockets in the deck of the ship, we need some strong people to attatch them to both sides." He responded, like I thought he was dumb. "Jus' embrace yourself for the crash, when these things go off, we will have very little control of the ship, so make sure you point us in the right direction, or else it will end up disastrous. So are ye' ready?"

I nod.

The gnome leader shouted out, "Listen up' all ye soldiers, we need ye to attach two rockets to da sides of da ship."

The gnomes go straight into action.

I look to Burt, "You help to."

Burt looks at me, "You have to be kidding me."

I roll my eyes, "You're a strong warrior, now go help them."

Burt sighs, "Fine..."

Burt and the soldiers attach the rockets onto the sides of the boat, as I say, "Now how do we light it?"

Celas comes in, "Leave that to me." As he conjures up a ball of fire and throws them at the rocket.

"Celas, we weren't ready!" I exclaimed panicking.

"Celas said, "Oh..."

The gnome leader yelled out, "Take cover!" As everyone dropped down to the lower deck, and then the rockets exploded, taking us slightly off the ground at a lightning like speed.

The rockets finally given out, and we were still not in sight of the dwarven mines.

"Where are we?" Ahycila asked curiously.

"We're about four hours from the mines, but at least we didn't crash like I expected." the gnome leader said.

"What, you mean you didn't plan to land safely!?" Burt raised his voice freaking out.

"Calm down Burt, we made it didn't we." Ahycila gave him a smart remark.

"I guess" he responded. "So what we going to do until we reach the mines?"

"Well..." Ahycila grinned.

Burt smirked at Ahycila, "Got anything new?"

The gnome leader shouted, "Now's not the time for fun and games. We have things to do. Now go make sure your weapons are functioning properly!"

Burt and Ahycila nodded.

We all got our gear ready for war, and stood watch for the remaining time for signs of the humans. Nothing came about, but it wouldn't be surprising if we were attacked.

We arrived on the shore of the dwarven mines hours later, geared up with our new technology gear. We went through the caves, and into the mines, as we approached the guards shouted, "Dair back!" and drew their weapons.

The gnome leader shouted, "No! Cease fire. These people are friends."

"Bah, fer'ends! Les' arres' des trouble makers!" they said with anger.

"This is war! We're being invaded by the humans, these people had their lands invaded, and now they are allying with the humans of this world to wipe out all other races in existence!" The gnome leader said, as I added on,

"It's true. We apologize for stealing your explosives, but we had to help our allies back then, and you wouldn't listen to us."

The guards grumble. "Git outta ere' pests! Ye gots no proof."

"Ya must help us. Wes can't win without yas." The gnome leader sighed."

"Ay won't say et' again..Leave!" The guards grumble.

A gnome soldier comes running in the cave after us, "Sir! The humans are attacking! They have a large army! We won't be able to hold them off!"

The gnome leader shouts, "Assemble the troops! Burt, Celas use the jet pack and cannon to sink some of those vessels! Sakura, see if you can snipe some of them with your light shots. Get the halflings in there with you!"

The dwarven guard yells, "Whad is da meaning of dis!?"

The gnome leader said, "Please come. See for yourself what is happening."

We go to the shoreline as we see the ships closing in on the dwarves as the dwarf guards yell,

"Bah! Whad in da hells! Assemble da troops, git dos d**n humans off our land!"

One of the guards nods, and runs back inside the cave as the other one draws his axe. "Filthy humans you will rule this day you attack us!"

"Take me over to the ships Celas, I'm going to do an all out attack."

Celas nods as they ascend into the air and head to the ships, and Burt charges his gun to max. As they get close enough Burt pulls the trigger and a large beam of energy comes firing out of the cannon crippling four ships.

The humans spot them and charge up the main guns to fire at them and Celas heated up the main gun cannon with a fire spell, causing the blast of the gun to blow up that ship.

Burt fires the cannon again as a shield over the ships come on!

Celas conjured another spell as the shields disappeared, and another four ships were destroyed.

"Two were still coming at us."

We managed to far range quite a few, as well, they managed to knock quite a few of us as well.

The ships finally hit the deck as the dwarven army came out,

"Take their lives! Show them no mercy!" They chant as about eighty human soldiers against about one hundred of us.

The gnome technology saved us this fight, as well as the superior dwarven strength. The humans fell in a bloody battle, mostly theirs. This battle was nearly over. This is where we take back what is ours and make the humans pay for their actions.

Celas said, "Quickly, we must go to the elven city! They might be already in battle."

The dwarven guards come up to us, "Thank ya fer warnin us der, we sorry wat we did ta yas. Wes will fights wit' yous till da end!"

The dwarves cheer. As Celas commands, "Then advance all your units to the elven city!"

"I must get back to my city as well Sakura. I must assemble the gnome army to your world. Would you mind if we gnomes barrowed yer ship?"

I nodded as he smiled. "Thank you Sakura. I hope everything works out for you in the end."

We all hopped aboard a the dwarven vessels and headed to the elven city, who knows what surprises await there, all we know is that we're in this together to the end!

Chapter 14 - The Final Battle Part 2: The Elven Defense

Dialogue:

The fleet of dwarven ships sail toward Eliwyn ready for war with the humans.

As we reach the elven city, it has already been set ablaze.

"We're too late..." Celas frowned.

We could see the fight from a distance, the elves alone were no match for the humans, but still maintaining a steady pace with their arcane spell protection. Then the elves see the dwarven fleet in the distance, and think for a second the dwarves have declared war, but as they see me and Celas standing on the front end of the fleet, they start cheering, as they know we brought help.

We, the dwarves, and the halflings storm the elven city, using our advanced weapons to take control of the oppertunity, which we did. For awhile...

As the human numbers began to drop, another wave of them came. How big is this army, I thought to myself, as we continued to fight off the humans.

They regained control after awhile once again, even with the races put together, their weapons were way to advanced, even for the gnome technology. As the battle raged on, we knew we the best we could do at this time was fight to our last breath.

Then off in the distance we heard battle horns behind the human fleet. It was the Scortching Claw tribe ready to defend the elven city with all they had.

Moments later, the scortching claws had the sea lit up like the city. The sea fleet has fled, and the already deployed men were soon defeated after, with the "Mixed Alliance."

After the battle the we put out the flames in the city, and went to speak with the mayor...

"Celas, I'm--Who is this you have with you?" Marii asked.

Celas took a deep breath, "It's not important now, are the troops ready to head to Sakura's world?"

Marii stated, "Celas, you're with a dark elf...This cannot go unpunished...I'm sorry."

Celas stated, "Marii! Please listen to me."

Marii sighed, "I'm sorry Celas, but rules are rules. You're no longer the captain of the wizards, I'm sorry."

Celas raised his voice, "Marii, were in war! This is not the time to be discussing my banishment!"

Marii responded, "Who is she Celas?"

Celas took a deep breath, "Her name is Ahycila...She's my girlfriend, and soon to be wife..."

Marii said, "How come you didn't tell me?"

Celas said, "I think you already know the answer to that one Marii..."

Marii sighed, "Alright. I apologize Celas for being so careless. The troops are ready yes. As for the dark elf, we're going to have a serious talk about this later."

Celas nodded and Ahycila looked at Celas with her head down.

We left the mayors office, to find the rest of the dark elves ambush us with their weapons drawn. We get ready for a fight.

The leader shouts, "Wait! We don't want to fight...Even know...We despise you elves...We must learn to cooperate in this time. So, for the defense of our own lands, we offer the dark elf army to you."

I say, "Thanks for your help, get aboard a ship, we're sailing out!"

--

We're ready for the humans. I will have my revenge. They will pay for what they have done!

Chapter 15 - Assault on Falarya

Dialogue:

We go through the portal, with our fleet, ready to end this war once and for all.

--

"So this is your world." The halfling leader said to me. "I look forward for the reward."

I nod, knowing what I'm going to do from stealing the Felaryan technology.

"This is it Sakura!" Burt said with a grin.

"It's time to make peace." Celas added.

"Let's hope everything goes well." Ahycila looked to the heavens.

--

As we hit the Island of Felarya our ships began to open fire immediately, setting the human facilities to blaze.

"We got them trapped!" Burt shouted.

"Wait!" Order the troops to seize fire. They are on to us. They know we are attacking, I don't believe anyone is in that building..."

"How do you know Sakura?" Celas asked.

"They are smarted than that." I say as we see the Felaryan ships surround us!

The Felaryan ships opened a full out fire on us, as Ahycila opened the force field bubble protecting their vessel. The elves had everything else covered with the other fifty war ships. All the blasts deflected as they closed in on us.

Luckily just in time! The gnomes began to open fire on the Felaryan ships. Them being distracted by our ships, through them off balance, and the gnomes sunk a few as they retreated to the land, as we followed them into their homeland, to strike them down.

We got onto the land and drove the humans back until we heard a large hissing sound. It sounded like the rockets the gnomes made, as we saw a large metal like human with giant weapons approach us.

It spoke to us, "Very good you got this far, but this is where it ends for you catlike creatures, and the rest of your pathetic, no good allies! We will destroy you all as we planned, and make this world rid of all you...THINGS...."

I said to it, "Why...What have we ever done to you?..."

The figure laughs as it says, "We just don't like you as a large beam of light spirals toward me from the figure's weapon."

I roll out of the way.

"Now finish them Felarya! Let them know the true power of the humans!"

"You talk to much!" Burt shouted at it, as he fired a large charged shot with his last beam of energy at the core of the figure as a big explosion occured, and killed all the humans. We of course didn't die because Ahycila was smart enough to turn on the force field."

"My army!" The figure shouted.

Burt shouted, "It's not dead!? Not even a scratch!?"

"So I am the last human here huh? Well that doesn't matter! I will destroy you all here anyways, because no weapon you have can hurt this robot. It's like that pathetic gnome armor, amplified times one hundred."

The human got thingyy at the end and said, "You know, I'm not even going to bother chasing you down one by one. I'm going to detonate this robot, causing a chain reaction, killing EVERYONE on this entire island...Except me of course, Ahahahaha!"

He detonates the trigger as Ahycila hits the force field saving the four of us, leaving everyone else dead."

"Wh-wh-what!?" You're still alive!? How can that be?

Ahycila said, "With a force field. Stupid humans...So typical. Sakura, you want the honors?"

"I respond, "With pleasure as I take my claws out walk toward them as he falls to his knees."

"Please spare me!" He cries.

"Hmm...." I think to him and smile. "He looks up to me and smiles happlily as I change the expression on my face. "Nope!" As I dig my claws into his throat and watch him suffer as slow painful death as I say to him, "Go to hell!"...then toss his body to the floor.

I look around...."Everyone...Not one survivor...We're the last of the races..."

"Sakura..." Ahycila says, "I should have told you this earlier...My God has agreed to restore this entire world back to normal...but if that happens the humans will be back alive, but to prevent them from attacking us again, they are being banished to a world where only they can exist, and no portals to other worlds will be created by them again."

I say excited, "You mean! Everyone who died, Nena, Riki, and even Manaki!?"

Ahycila responded, "Everyone in this world who was killed during this war will be returned to normal life, and you can go back to living like you used to..."

"Then let's do it!"

Ahycila nods as she raises a staff into the air, and a large mystic circle comes into play, as the people begin to rise around us.

They all look as if they been have had a blank dream, as they remember.

The dwarf leader comes to us, "Es it over furry lady?"

I nod.

A voice from above is heard, "Now, you will all return to the place from which you came, as a white light flashed in front of everyone, they vanished, as I saw in the distance, Riki, Maneki, Nena! As I came running toward them and they ran toward me.

I was happy again. The humans were gone, and the two worlds were safe, with no one ever having another chance to get to any of the worlds ever again.
