Our annual Yule Ball is fast approaching! We would like suggestions as to what date works best for the majority of players. Thanks!
Please post any suggestions or ideas regarding the Yule Ball. We've got some fun things in the works and want as many of our HP family to be able to share it with us!

I'll be OOT until the 21st. So the 22nd and beyond would be fine with me.

I think it's always best to hold it on a Saturday.
Because, like the Hallowe'en Ball, then everyone can attend.

I, personally, have always thought of Yule as after Christmas but before January, but I'm crazy, so it might not be best to trust me.

Agreed. Saturdays are probably better for most everyone.

Oh snap. The 20th is the -single- day I -guaranteed- can't be on.

21st or after, 22nd probably being preferable, I think.

As a Scandinavian, where Yule traditions come from (our word for Christmas even being "Jul") I can tell you this is absolutely wrong. Yule was celebrated a bit later than modern Christmas, late December to early January. With the innovation of the Gregorian calendar, it was placed to the 25th.
Traditionally, though, Yule was a period of heavy drinking and festivities, so it usually spanned several weeks.

Though Sundays might be equally good

Woot! I win!
Yeah, Saturday is best, and further from Christmas, the better. Whatever, anyway. I'm not even going to be there. Peter's in Mungo's.

Yeah, but a lot of people travel from Christmas to New Years.

Eh, anything works for me. But knowing my character, it won't matter much anyway, as he won't attend no matter when it is.
