Post subject: | Lucinda Andino |
Lucinda was born of at least a witch. She is not sure about her father, as her aunt always says her mother was very evasive on the subject. Lucinda's mother, Anastacia Andino, is missing...or that is what Lucinda and her Aunt Anahi hope anyhow. After being missing for 8 years, it is hard to say what happened. Anastacia brought 3 year old Lucinda to her Aunt Anahi's house one evening in a hurry with a written note for both Anahi and Lucinda (when she was old enough to read) expressing her love and hope for the futre, explaining that she may have gotten mixed up with the wrong kind of people, though she didn't explain much, and that the safety of the family was at steak, so the two of them were to move full time to a house that Anastacia bought a few years after school, in Phoenix, Arizona. Anastacia left her lifes earnings for her sister and daughter, and hasn't been heard of since. Since Anahi wasn't sure of the trouble, she saved the wizard money and used very little of the muggle money to get started. Anahi, being a muggle, did not know much of the wizarding world, so could only tell Lucinda second hand stories her mother would tell Anahi during the school holiday. Anahi and Anastacia were very close, and even the note accepting Anastacia, and not Anahi, did not separate them. So, Lucinda never heard any animosities towards her mother, aside from the snide comments she recieved from other children in the muggle world, teasing her for not having a mother. Lucinda, growing up in Phoenix, and her Aunt having little money, grew up in a bad neighborhood, so she is used to the constant nagging of bullies. Sometimes she would get in trouble at school for odd things happening to those bullies, prior to being accepted into hogwarts. However, her Aunt always tried to cover for her, and support her in any way she could, because she knew, at heart, Lucinda was a good girl and that she was more special than anyone could ever know in the muggle world. She always taught Lucinda to stand up for herself when needed, but try to be nice and make friends when she could. "No one can be poor and uneducated or rich and uneducated when you are given a gift of great intelligence," That's what Anai would tell Lucinda. "You just keep your head up high, know you are special, and keep up, and ahead of your studies as much as possible, and do your best. Besides, I think that your mother left you quite a bit of wizarding funds." So with the first year at hogwarts starting, Lucinda has taken with her, her Aunts Heart and words, and her mother's Heart and Memories, and hopes to have the best first year ever!!! |
