Prefects are implemented but until we have that meeting thingy and get badges and told what we can do *prods Nik* we cant do anything. Thats the problem.

lol *Thinks any sentence with 'Tomar' and 'Rules' in it, that doesn't
include the words 'Disregard,' 'Ignore,' 'Break' or 'Gesture Rudely' must
be a very sophisticated joke.*

But yeah. =P

New prefects are being chosen, as it were. This isn't even as much as
"oh they don't like the old prefects," as it is... "most of the current prefects
are never around."

I'm going to come out of my dark little corner and comment on this, before I return to it and cry myself back to sleep. The rules in WoHP are broken way too much, and not enforced at all. This is good, in a way, as it promotes a little more freedom in roleplaying. Although, on the negative side of things, it causes the server and setting to lack 'realism,' or 'realisticness' (If those aren't words, too bad <.<).

I believe that if NPCs were put in the entrance hall, as that's where most of this rulebreaking seems to occur, it would solve the problem. As we should all know, ignoring an NPC is metagaming. And metagaming is bad, ladies and gentlemen.

Besides; people shouldn't be blasting eachother with spells in the entrance hall, in the middle of the day. If you want to blast someone, wait until they leave the hall and follow them, or challange them to a duel. Whatever floats your sack full of kittens, as everyone's favorate evil midget would say.
Of course, I don't mean all characters should be avoiding blasting people in the most crowded part of the school. (Low wisdom, lack of control in anger, and so on), I'm merely saying everyone doing it is, well, dumb.
[/rant]

However, in the event of OOC rules being broken - (Exploiting of mechanics, griefing, etc) - I think more DM action should be taken, rather then RP'd retaliation. Fortunatly, this doesn't happen often, so I honestly have no clue what happens when it does! But, just saying, and all.

A little attachment: Teachers can also enforce rules, not just prefects. Hint, hint, nudge, nudge, DM team.

Not to put down your idea... it's good people are thinking... but putting an
NPC in the EH is one of the worst things we can do.

Why? It wouldn't be able to interact. Sure, on other servers NPCs walk
around doing their own thing, but here, it's a school, where the mere
presence of a professor should be more than a mindless zombie standing
there.

No, I think they should only be around when there is a DM to control
them properly.

Edit: You're not on much at all, but as many players will say, trust me,
professors make pretty frequent appearances to lay the smackdown on
Ginnia and Tomar... I mean. *Cough.* Naughty students in general.

=D

*Will never forget.* Filch to Tomar: "You there! Stop smiling so much!
Five points from Gryffindor!" xD
