So I picked up a penny that was laying next to the small pile of pennies I have, and the tails side was facing up and it was shiny, so I picked it up and looked at it and saw that it had a different design to it, then I got curious after hearing it must be a new penny so I flipped it over to see the year and it said 2012. I found a new 2012 penny!

Fun fact: The copper in a peeny if worth more then the penny itself. There is about 6 cents of copper in a penny, but rememeber melting the penny for the copper is illegal, so do not do it.
